Scrum Planning Poker

🎴 Create Planning Poker Room

Estimate user stories together with your team!

OR
💡 Share the room code with your team to collaborate in real time.

📋 How to Use Planning Poker

🎴 Select Your Card

Choose a card value that represents your estimate for the user story. Use Fibonacci numbers (1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 20) or the coffee cup (☕) if you need clarification.

👥 Team Collaboration

All team members vote independently. Wait for everyone to submit their votes before revealing results to avoid bias.

🔍 Reveal Votes

Once everyone has voted, reveal all votes to see the team's estimates. Discuss any significant differences in estimates.

🔄 Discuss & Re-vote

If estimates vary widely, discuss the story requirements and vote again until the team reaches consensus.

📊 Track Progress

Use the room code to return to the same room later. All participants and votes are synchronized in real time.

🎯 Best Practices

Keep stories small and well-defined. Use relative sizing rather than absolute time estimates. Focus on complexity, not effort.

🌟 Planning Poker Best Practices

  • Time-box discussions: Keep story discussions focused and under 5 minutes
  • Use Fibonacci sequence: The gaps between numbers help teams avoid false precision
  • Vote independently: Don't discuss estimates before everyone has voted
  • Clarify requirements: Use the coffee cup (☕) if the story needs more detail
  • Reach consensus: Discuss differences and re-vote until the team agrees
